Ms. Delzer’s first graders have won every week this school year. This week they are back to being top dog with 100% spirit wear.

We received the all clear for Rivers Elementary School approximately 5:10 p.m. It is safe for our students, faculty and staff to resume school tomorrow. Rivers will be open tomorrow, Thursday, January 8, 2026 and will follow the normal daily schedule.

Mrs. McKenzie’s prek class learned about the “m” in STEAM. They sorted, counted and subtracted m&m’s today and had a great time learning! They also enjoyed getting to eat their m&m’s when they were finished.
Bulldogs, Late this afternoon a cut was made in the gas line at the construction site of the new elementary school on Altus Air Force Base. The gas line cannot be repaired before the start of school tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7. For the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff, Rivers Elementary will be closed on Wednesday, January 7. All other Altus Public Schools sites will be open and on a normal schedule.
