Altus Public Schools Pre-K and New Kindergarten Enrollment for 2025-2026 School Year All families ready to enroll students in Pre-K or new-to-school Kindergarten students are invited to the Beginning Bulldog Bash on Tuesday, April 22 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Altus Public Schools offers two Pre-K and Kindergarten programs, Altus Early Childhood Center and Rivers Elementary. Children eligible for pre-kindergarten must turn four years old on or before Sept. 1, 2025. All Pre-K programs are full-day programs. Transportation is not provided for Pre-K students in the Altus School District. Kindergarten parents only need to attend, if their child has not previously attended school. To complete enrollment, parents must complete Online Registration at www.altusps.com and provide the following for each child. Documents can be uploaded electronically on the Online Registration or copies can be given to the school prior to school beginning in August. 1. Birth Certificate – an unofficial hospital record is accepted 2. Immunization Record 3. Social Security Number – optional 4. Proof of Residency – current utility bill, proof of payment of local or ad valorem taxes, property title, mortgage/lease agreement, rent receipt, or notarized affidavit verifying residency and custody of the student are accepted.
