On Wednesday, our 1st through 4th grade students officially kicked off a new walking incentive program called the Mile Club. This initiative is part of our continued effort to keep students active and encourage healthy habits. For every mile walked, students earn a foot token as they work toward milestone achievements.
During PE, students now have the option to walk instead of participating in a game-based activity, giving them another way to stay active and increase their mileage. We will display the Top 10 walkers in the gym each week, and awards will be handed out on Fridays.
We are especially proud of this week’s Top 10 — particularly since these totals reflect just two days of walking!
Kindergarten students are participating as a class due to age and time considerations. Their progress will also be tracked, and we will recognize the top Kindergarten class each week.
We’re excited to see our students moving, motivated, and making great strides!
