Altus Public Schools will participate in the Summer Food Service Program from 05/27/2026 to 06/18/2026.

Meals will be provided to the children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. There will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, at the following site and times:
Altus Intermediate School Cafeteria, 1221 N. Howse Street, Altus, OK
05/27/2026 - 06/18/2026.
Monday - Thursday - 14 days total meal service
Breakfast (07:20 - 08:30 am)
Lunch (10:15 - 11:00 am)

Reminder of a parent meeting for Kindergarten Graduation this week.

4th graders from Rivers visited the Legal Office and courtroom on base. They learned about different careers in the area of law, explored techniques that investigators use, and watched a mock trial.

Thank you to all of our volunteers who have helped to make this year great.

4th grade had a blast today at their annual Rocket Launch. Thank you so much to Maj Crandall, Mrs. Brakebill and all the volunteers that came to help.

Rivers has new Navigators for the 26-27 school year. They are very excited to being their duties serving as leaders on campus. The Navigators are Millie Balko, Micah Halverstadt, Laikyn Hale, Hadley Heinlein, Emma Kimmel, Asher Lyles, Mackenna Norfleet, and Isabella Pittman. Congratulations!

During the month of April we are honored to have service men and women join us for Military Mondays. Thank you for helping us celebrate our military children.

Are your children missing items? Our lost and found has outgrown its rack. Please stop in and check or have students check for lost items. We don't keep items past the end of the year.

Rivers staff and students have kicked off our Month of the Military Child with a door decorating contest and a PTO sponsored bounce house day. We have other activities going this month and we look forward to celebrating our military children.
